I've loved the Armani Prive Collection through the years. The Haute Couture collection was/is considered a pinnacle of luxury and artistic vision. The collection was debuted in 2004/2005, and over two decades it has evolved into a subsequent expansion of vision, taking inspiration from eastern cultures. It doesn’t serve a clientele seeking to embrace the emblem of rarity or exclusivity anymore, it has expanded to serve mass-appealing segments and vertical accessibility.

In 2024, Armani introduced the Blanc Kogane and Noir Kogane duo. Blanc Kogane, which was my favorite, is an addictive, white floral musky fragrance, twisting the clean white musk with a subtle animalic undertone, blending an indolic whiff of embellished jasmine and waxy lilies. The bottle is a piece of art, with a beautiful gold pattern that mimics the Japanese repairing art of Kintsugi.

The opening is waxy, packed with jasmine Grandiflorum aroma, sweet, citrusy, and intense, with a faded narcotic chord of jasmine concrete. The smell is minimal, the scent of fresh, blooming jasmine bound in percaline; it doesn’t bring the nocturnal humid jasmine to the scene. The floral accord is more of an aesthetic to elevate the aldehydic/musky heart. It fills the shiny cold aldehydes with ivory shades and whiteness. Blanc Kogane is half clean, intriguing soapy lather on sweaty skin, with a sensational lived-in development, offering a warm sillage with a dirty undertone. If you are struggling with Narciso’s musk collection, Blanc Kogane might be a better blend for you, it is less bold, sheer, and easier to wear.
