About
Agave smells of crisp, green succulent sap — a watery, slightly sweet vegetal note with mineral/ozonic and faintly resinous or metallic facets that suggest sun-warmed desert leaves and damp cactus juice. In perfumery it’s used as a fresh top-to-middle accent to impart sapmy sweetness and arid green character to aquatic, fougère, woody or gourmand compositions, pairing well with citrus, vetiver, cedar or smoky/boozy accords to evoke sunlit agave fields and tequila- or mezcal-inspired themes.
