About
Aglaia (Aglaia odorata, often called Chinese rice flower) exudes a luminous, nectarous fruity-floral scent combining apricot–osmanthus facets with honeyed jasmine nuances, a citrus-green lift, and a gentle tea-like dryness over pale, pollen-woody tones. It suggests sunlit courtyards and golden blossoms—airy, delicate, and softly intimate rather than heady. In perfumery it is used as a refined heart note—often captured by headspace—to brighten white-floral bouquets, lend natural peachy sweetness to tea and citrus accords, and smooth musks and light woods; it pairs beautifully with osmanthus, neroli, yuzu or mandarin, apricot lactones, and soft ambers.
