About
Bulrush (cattail) reads as a green, marshy reed note: damp, grassy and slightly sweet with papery, hay-like and faintly earthy or rooty facets that conjure riverbanks, reedbeds and foggy wetlands. In perfumery it’s used to create wet‑vegetation or reedbed accords and to lend a natural, slightly musty backbone to green, aquatic, chypre or woody compositions, typically blended with sea notes, vetiver, oakmoss, iris, labdanum and musks and often realized as a crafted accord rather than a single isolated extract.
