A synthetic woody‑amber material in the ambergris family, it smells dry, mineral and musky with a smooth, slightly salty breeze facet that can evoke sun‑warmed driftwood, pale amber, and clean skin. Used chiefly as a powerful, long‑lasting base note and fixative, it lends radiance and backbone to citrus, florals, and woods, and is a staple in modern woody‑amber, fougère, and marine accords—dosable from traces for lift to higher levels for a crystalline amber signature.
