Clean notes are abstract accords that evoke freshly laundered skin, linen and a crisp soapy freshness—characterized by bright aldehydic or ozonic facets, light citrus or floral lifts, and a soft powdery or white-musk base. Perfumers use them to add hygienic clarity, airy lift and a modern minimalist character to compositions, typically in the top and heart to bridge citrus or floral facets and leave a breathable, skinlike trail through synthetics like aldehydes, ozonics, linen/cotton accords and clean musks.
