Daim (French for suede) is the soft, velvety facet of leather in perfumery, evoking supple gloves and peach-skin nubuck; it smells creamy, slightly powdery and musky, with gentle almond, violet/orris, apricot-skin and sometimes saffron or tobacco nuances rather than smoky tar. Built with suede-leaning aromachemicals, ionones, musks, orris, osmanthus, saffron and subtle resins, the daim accord sits from heart to base to add plush texture and intimate warmth, rounding florals, smoothing gourmands, enriching woody-amber structures and softening harsher leather notes.
