Dried Rose

Dried rose has a papery, tea-like floralcy with honeyed, slightly dusty and leathery facets, touched by raisin/plum fruitiness and potpourri-like spice; it feels less dewy than fresh rose, evoking antique sachets, sun-pressed herbariums, and autumnal nostalgia. In perfumery it lends maturity, texture, and a powdery-woody depth to the heart, often built from rose absolute and damascenone-rich materials shaded with ionones, orris, tobacco, woods, patchouli, gentle spices, and balsams, and it pairs beautifully with oud, leather, amber, saffron, and tea accords.
