Heather carries a softly honeyed, pollen-dusted floralcy over herbal-green and hay-like facets, with a dry, heathland woodiness and a gentle musky breeze—evoking sun-warmed moors, wild grasses, and purple hillsides. In perfumery it is most often an accord (natural extracts are rare), built from honey, hay, herbal-aromatic, and mossy-woody notes; it adds wild-meadow freshness and muted warmth to fougères, green florals, and woody-chypre compositions, often bridging the top and heart for an airy, pastoral nuance.
