About
Lapsang Souchong Tea is a smoked black‑tea note dominated by pine and campfire smoke, with tarry, resinous and cured‑leather facets sitting over bitter, tannic black‑tea warmth and a faint dried‑fruit or medicinal peat nuance. It evokes bonfire embers, smoked meats and rustic chimneys rather than a delicate floral tea. In perfumery it is used sparingly to add smoky backbone and rustic depth—commonly paired with leather, tobacco, vanilla, bergamot, vetiver, birch/cade and labdanum—to create smoky‑tea accords or to lift oriental, gourmand and masculine/unisex compositions with an aromatic, ember‑like accent.
