About

Mahonia (Oregon grape) is a radiant yellow-floral note with honeyed, lemony muguet facets, touched by green sappy freshness and a faint tart blackcurrant-like tang; it evokes early-spring blossoms and sun-warmed nectar. In perfumery it is typically built as an accord rather than a natural extract, used to brighten floral hearts, bridge citrus top notes to white florals, and add dewy green lift in chypres and modern florals; it pairs especially well with mimosa, osmanthus, jasmine, cassis, and light woods.
