Michelia is a lush, tropical white-floral note: heady and sweet with a creamy, waxy heart that recalls gardenia and jasmine plus a fresh citrusy‑green lift and occasional fruity or slightly indolic warmth. It evokes opulent evening bouquets and humid, flower‑laden gardens. In perfumery Michelia is used as a middle/heart note to impart exotic, creamy white‑floral character to soliflores, oriental and floral bouquets, often paired with tuberose, jasmine, ylang‑ylang, sandalwood, amber, citrus or aldehydes to add depth, sweetness and a soft, velvety waxiness.
