Mocha is a velvety gourmand note that fuses roasted coffee with dark chocolate, yielding a bittersweet, creamy aroma with cocoa-powder dryness, nutty caramel facets, and a faint smokiness that evokes a warm café and indulgent desserts. Used mainly as a heart-to-base accent to add depth and comfort, it is often constructed from coffee/cocoa absolutes and pyrazines with vanillic and lactonic tones, and blends beautifully with vanilla, tonka, caramel, praline, hazelnut, amber, woods, patchouli, spices, tobacco, and soft musks.
