About
Nerium oleander is a heady, narcotic floral note combining sweet honeyed and rosy facets with bitter‑green, laurel‑like and subtly almonded or metallic undertones, evoking sun‑warmed Mediterranean hedgerows and a slightly poisonous, glamorous air. Perfumers use it in heart and bright top accords to give floral, citrus and fougère compositions a luminous, slightly bitter‑green depth—often built synthetically and blended with jasmine, orange blossom, aromatic leaves and woods to modernize classic bouquets and suggest hot, coastal landscapes.
