About
Pimento seeds (allspice) smell warm and sweet-spicy, with dominant clove-like and cinnamon–nutmeg facets and a peppery, resinous green undertone that can also read slightly fruity and woody. In perfumery they are used sparingly as a spicy top–to–heart accent to add warmth, depth and a piquant lift, pairing particularly well with woods, resins, vanilla, citrus and leathery accords in oriental, gourmand and spicy fougère compositions.
