Sundew offers a delicate, dewy aroma that melds green, honeyed sweetness with a faintly musky, resinous and slightly fruity-floral edge, evoking sun-warmed leaves beaded with sticky, glistening droplets. It reads as naturalistic and slightly animalic rather than overtly floral. In perfumery sundew is used sparingly to impart a “morning dew” accord, to sweeten and round florals and ambers, and to act as a subtle fixative that adds warm, honeyed depth and a soft, skin-like muskiness without tipping into gourmand territory.
