Tayberry, a raspberry–blackberry hybrid, smells like juicy, sun-warmed red berries—bright and tangy with raspberry sparkle, deeper and winey like blackberry—layered with a soft jammy sweetness, green bramble-leaf facets, and a faint musky-rose nuance that evokes late-summer hedgerows. In perfumery it is usually a crafted accord rather than a natural extract, built from raspberry ketone, fruity esters, ionones, and blackcurrant-like facets. It adds vivid, mouthwatering fruitiness and pink sparkle to florals, gourmands, and modern chypres, bridging top to heart and pairing well with rose, peony, violet, woods, musks, vanilla, and patchouli.
